Traineeship in Europe?! Yes, please!

The general objective of the Erasmus+ program is to support, through lifelong learning, the educational, professional and personal development of people in education, training, youth and sport, in Europe and beyond thereby contributing to sustainable growth, quality jobs and social cohesion, to driving innovation, and to strengthening European identity and active citizenship. More specifically, the program wants to promote learning mobility of individuals and groups, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion and equity,
excellence, creativity and innovation at the level of organisations and policies in the field of education and
training.

Due to the advancing globalization of economy and society, it is increasingly important to employers for university graduates to have already acquired professional experience during their studies. By completing traineeships abroad, students prove they are capable of adapting and handling new cultural surroundings and language challenges.

Traineeships abroad offer the opportunity to get the desired international experience without losing time during your studies and can potentially even take place during semester breaks. In addition to the possibility of studying abroad (Erasmus+ SMS) or staff mobility (Erasmus+ ST), the EU-funded Erasmus+ program also offers the opportunity to receive funding for a traineeship abroad (Erasmus+ SMT). It also ensures recognition of the traineeship through appropriate documentation in the “Learning Agreement for Traineeships”. You will also benefit from the support (and, if necessary, mediation) provided by our consortium in addition to the support provided by your home university and traineeship provider.

The EU-ServicePoint manages traineeship mobilities within the framework of Key Action of the Erasmus+ program for students enrolled at the following universities

This project is supported with funding from the European Commission.

Erasmus+ is the name of the current EU program for Education, Training, Youth, and Sport, which runs from 2021-2027. The following priorities have been set for the Erasmus+ program 2021-2027:

  • Inclusion and diversity
  • Digital transformation
  • Environment and combating climate change
  • Participation in democratic life

Funding through the Erasmus+ program is intended to ensure that students are aware of these issues and, at best, engage in these areas during the traineeship but also afterwards.
